How LilyCurve came to be — and why we do what we do
🌱 The Beginning
Picture this: It's 2019. Lily has a wedding to attend. She buys three different shapewear pieces online, spends $200+, and none of them work. One rolls down constantly. One creates a weird bulge in a weird place. One is so tight she can't breathe, let alone eat cake.
She looks in the mirror and thinks: "Why is this so hard? Why isn't there shapewear that's comfortable AND effective? Why do I have to choose between looking good and feeling good?"
So she starts sketching. Researching fabrics. Talking to women of all shapes and sizes. And she realizes: it's not just her. Millions of women are dealing with the same problem.
💡 The Lightbulb Moment
Lily spent a year interviewing over 500 women. The feedback was clear:
- "I want to smooth my tummy without feeling suffocated"
- "Why don't brands carry my size?"
- "I want to feel confident, not like I'm hiding my body"
- "Can someone just make something that WORKS?"
So that's exactly what she set out to do.
🚀 Launching LilyCurve
In 2020, LilyCurve was born. Our mission: Confidence for Every Curve.
We started with one product — a high-waisted shaping short — and sold out in 48 hours. Turns out, a lot of women were waiting for this.
Today, we offer bras, shapewear, swimwear, and underwear in sizes XS-5XL. We've helped over 100,000 women find their perfect fit. And we're just getting started.
